Carol Anne McGee, 55, of Akron, passed away on July 22, 2017. She was born in Kent on August 16, 1961 to Leonard and Margaret Konopitski. Carol was a secretary at Akron General Medical Center for 20 years. She had a passion for NHRA racing and traveling. Above all, she loved spending time with family and being a grandma.
Carol will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 26 years, Larry McGee; parents, Leonard and Margaret Konopitski; children, Michael (Jennifer) Foster, Jessica (Kevin) Snyder, and Sarah McGee; siblings, Susan Konopitski, Linda Konopitski, Joy Konopitski, Kathy Wolfe, Mary Stoneking, and Leonard (Rebecca) Konopitski; grandchildren, Lyric, Dean, Avery, Nolan, and Brayden; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Akron Children's Hospital or National Alliance on Mental Illness.
