Douglas C. "Doug" Goldinger
1933 - 2017

Douglas C. Goldinger, born May 27, 1933 in Butler, PA and passed away on July 19, 2017. He was a longtime resident of the Akron area. He retired from Goodyear after 30 years of service. Starting in 1956, Doug ran his own tax and bookkeeping service until retiring in 2013 at the age of 80. He was a proud Army and National Guard Veteran with 17 years service. Doug enjoyed researching genealogy for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; his second wife, Gwendolyn; and 2 sisters, Louise and Pat. Doug is survived by son, Anthony (Toni) Goldinger; daughters, Grace Prindle and Jennie (Dennis) Anstine; step-children, Jerry, Jeff, Randy and Scott Maust; sister, Gerry Rupert; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and special friend, Ann Dennison.

Family will receive friends on Saturday July 22, 2017 from 10-11am with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Rev. Zachary Kawalec officiating. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
