Lucille C. Boggs, age 91 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at her daughter's home.

She was born in Akron on July 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Carl and Gladys Baker Starr.

Mrs. Boggs was a homemaker and enjoyed shopping, cooking, decorating-especially for Christmas. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was extremely proud of the fact that during WWII, she worked on the production line at GoodYear.

Lucille was a long time member of The Chapel in Akron.

Survivors include her children, Linda Senn, Nancy (Don) Emore, Patricia Gussey, Victoria (Thomas) Herhold, and Edward R. Boggs; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Edward B. Boggs, they were united in marriage on February 2, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1989; her sons-in-law, John Gussey and Dick Emore; her grandson, Richard Senn; her siblings, Bill Starr, Rita Mae Barnett, and Jean Lawlis.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.

Funeral services on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 will be private.

Lucille will be laid to rest next to her husband in Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Lucille's memory.
