Clyde Dallas Rush, 94, passed away on May 7, 2017 in Bethany, Oklahoma. He was born September 10, 1922 in Mogadore, OH to Lindsey Dallas Rush and Grace Marie (Call) Rush. He married Elma Pearl Halladay on September 14, 1942. They had 64 happy years together before she passed away.
Clyde had a host of family and friends he loved and enjoyed and will be missed by many. His family includes his children, Linda, Dallas, Teresa, Shelley, Sharon, Bruce, David and Deborah; grandchildren, Pamela, James, Caroline, Rebecca, Troy, April, Wendy, Brian (deceased), David, Sarah, Catherine, Nathan, Grace, John, Martha, Ruth, Rachel, Stephen, Mark, Chad, Chelsea, Joseph, Glenda, Bobbie Jo, Kimberly, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Ivan, Blake, Jamson, Andromeda, Athena, Alexander, Andrew, Cara, Leslie, Hunter, Harley, Destiny, Matthew, Emma, Preston, Anita, Emilie, Trystan, Grace, Tonya, Jessica, Tommy, Stephanie, Chase, Tori, Hannah, Trevor, Amber, Caleb, Aaron, Seth, Nick, and Luke; great-great-grandchildren, Alaric, Taylor, Ava, Madison, Brian, Jade, Ally, Noah, Christopher, Nicholas, Ava, Aubrey, Jeremy, Alyssa, Isaiah, Savannah, Mark, Sara, Spencer, Zaiden, and Audrey.
Clyde proudly served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of The Church of God.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Clyde will then be laid to rest beside his wife at East Liberty Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fisher House in memory of Clyde Rush via their website www.FisherHouse.org.
