Margaret E. King passed on April 14, 2017 at home peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 17, 1939 in Copley, OH. She lived in Akron for the past 60 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a friend to everyone. Margaret was a member of Springfield Fellowship Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Cole; brother, Randolph Cole; and her son, Donald Earl King, Jr. She is survived by her children, David (Danny), Woodrow (Denise), Donna (Dan) Porter, Steve (Mary Kay), and Roger King; Grandchildren, Abigail, Chelsey, Brian, Autumn, Kyle, Mitchell, Daniel (DJ), Dalton, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Alexander, Austin, Andrew, Zoe and Todd Michael; 2 sisters and 5 brothers, whom she loved dearly; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday April 18, 2017 from 6-8pm and funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service. Pastor Homer Burket officiating. Interment Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Springfield Fellowship Church.
