He was born on December 9, 1956 in Akron, the son of the late James Kennamore and Margaret Giordano Rohbeck.
Big D was the proprietor of THE Main Street Saloon in the Firestone Park area of Akron. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, he loved music and going to concerts, he was a dog lover, and a family man.
He was instrumental in bringing Golden Gloves Boxing back to the Akron area, when he was younger he was inducted into the Summit County Boxing Hall of Fame; he was a philanthropist, as he helped many in the Summit County area.
Survivors include his lifetime partner and best friend, Nancy Heffner of 45 years; his daughter, Marlene (TJ) Denholm; two granddaughters, Brooke Kennamore and Braelynn Denholm; his siblings, Jack (Doris), Jimmy (Ruby), Madeline (Manuel), and Candy, and many nieces and nephews that he treasured.
Other than his parents, Big D was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby; and many close friends.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM, where family and friends may visit from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
David will be laid to rest in the East Liberty Cemetery.
