Jacob Andrew Marr, 22, of Mogadore, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 9, 2017. He was born in Cuyahoga Falls on January 11, 1995. Jake attended Mogadore High School and graduated from Maplewood Career Center. He was employed by GS Steel Service Company in Stow. Jake was a proud member of H.A. He loved playing baseball and golf. Jake will always be remembered for his generous nature. He made friends everywhere he went. His intelligence, quick wit, and infectious smile drew everyone to him. He was loved by adults and children alike.
Jake will be deeply missed by his mother and stepfather, Jennifer and Jim Woods; father, John Marr; siblings, Joe Marr, Jane Woods, and Jimmy Woods; grandparents, Frank and Cathy Marr, Joe and Karen Ryan, Ed and Sue Hutchison; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jake's family wishes to thank Nikki and all those at the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, all participating members of H.A., and Vance for all their support and for making this last year the happiest he had in a very long time.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Calvary Temple, 3045 Albrecht Ave. Akron, OH 44312, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Walker officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Interval Brotherhood Home, 3445 S. Main St., Akron, OH 44319.
