Don M. Hobson, 84, of Akron, passed away on February 16, 2017. He was born in Fulton, KY on September 12, 1932 to the late Lynn and Linda Hobson.
Don proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Irene Elder on March 15, 1955 and they were together until her death on March 27, 2016. They loved fishing at Piedmont Lake in Ohio and Long Lake in Canada. Don retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 42 years of service.
In addition to his parents and Irene, he was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Shane Andrew Humphrey Jr. He will be deeply missed by his children, Mark Hobson, Russ (Sue) Hobson, and Lora (Mike) Breyman; grandchildren, Kathleen (Sade'), MaryBeth (Andy), Michael, Thomas, Steven, Lauren, Krista, and Justin; and good friends, Art and Ben.
Cremation has taken place If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Don and Irene.
