She was born in Barberton, the daughter of Jean Funk and the late Joseph Funk.
She was a loving and proud wife, mother and business owner that cherished spending time with friends and family.
Other than her mother, Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Fred; son, Fred Jr. (Karen), daughters, Cheryl (Mark) and Susan (Russ); her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Joan (Steve), brother, Bill (Barb); and many nieces and nephews; and her husband's siblings and their families.
Other than her father, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, Joe.
A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Friendship Bible Church, 1703 State Route 44, Randolph, where Pastor Bill Johnson will celebrate Marilyn's life.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Monday January 23, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Burial is private.
