Raleigh L. Vaughn, 90, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016. He was born on April 17, 1926 in Livingston, Tennessee to Walter and Eula Vaughn. He served his country in the U.S. Army where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He was a faithful member of the Tallmadge Church of Christ. He worked at and retired from Ohio Machine & Mold. He was an avid basketball fan who played at Livingston Academy High School and loved The Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The moments that gave him the greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and his handy work skills.

He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Vaughn; parents, Walter and Eula Vaughn; siblings, Eddis Sells, Agnes Bilbrey, Milbern , Cratus and Derward Vaughn.

Raleigh is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Delores Vaughn; children, James (Billie)Vaughn, Kathy (Bill) Brown; daughter-in- law, Janice Vaughn; sister, Inez (Bill) Thrasher; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss Raleigh dearly.

Family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home,131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at theTallmadge Church of Christ with Evangelist, Lewis Willis officiating, 737 Southeast Ave.,Tallmadge OH, 44278.

Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
