In Memory Of
Janice L. (Fridley) Anderson
1930 - 2016

Janice L. (Fridley) Anderson, 86, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2016. She was born in Rock Lick, a small town in West Virginia, on May 21, 1930 to the late William C. and Margaret G. Fridley. She moved to Ohio where she met her late husband, Graham Anderson. They were married on January 13, 1958 and they resided in the Akron area.

Janice took great pride in being a loving mother and homemaker. On Sundays, she loved to be surrounded by her family - all of her children and grandchildren - all while preparing dinner and dancing in the kitchen. Her smile and laughter were contagious as she lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed many things during her lifetime such as bowling, gardening, music, singing, dancing, crafting, shopping, yearly family vacations in Myrtle Beach and playing Yahtzee with her neighborhood friend.

Janice is preceded in death by her loving husband, Graham "Andy"; brother, William; sisters, Virginia Barker, Geraldine Booth, and Becky Halsey. She is survived by her children, Vicki Anderson, Sherry (Donald) Marmaduke, Mark (Christine) Anderson, Michael Anderson, and Kimberly Anderson; thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Family will welcome guests on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10:30am - 12:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place at 12:30pm. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd., Akron. The family would like to say a special "thank you" to the staff at Crossroads Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
