Richards, Carolyn P. (Fruth) - Atwater

Carolyn P. (Fruth) Richards, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away June 20, 2016. She was born on September 24, 1934 to the late Harold and Ruth (Myers) Fruth. After her marriage, the couple settled in Atwater to raise their children. Forced to retire due to health reasons from the Waterloo Local School District as a bus driver, a job she loved, she became a stay at home mom. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Ross; brother, Don; sister and brother- in- law, Jackie and Mutt Hodges; brother-in-law, Bill Tharp and special friend, Dr. William Wasson.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann (Dan) Akers, Judith (Don) Bennett, Ruth Rebecca "Becky" (Mark) Matulavich; sister, Dorothy Tharp; brother, Bob (Marti) and sister-in-law Margaret.; grandchildren, Daniel (Paula) Akers, Brian (Tamra) Akers, Amy (Matt) Boylan, Zack (Sam) Bennett, Josh Bennett and Adrianna Bennett; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss Carolyn dearly.

Special thanks to all the wonderful in home caregivers from Crossroads Hospice of Green.
